futuRETRO brings together people interested in the creative use of historical computers and calculating machines. With futuRETRO 2025, we invite you to lectures, workshops, exchange, discussions and to experience historical hardware and software at the Faculty of Computer Science at Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg.
Two-day workshop with lectures, exhibition and user meeting on August 2-3 2025 at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg
We are looking forward to contributions (e. g. talks/lectures, workshops, exhibitions/user tables, etc.) on the following topics:
- First person games on historic hardware
- Historical and current hardware related to retro computing
- Current software developments around historical computing machines
- Creative use of (historical) technology, e. g.
- Contributions from the demo scene (audio and video)
We also welcome contributions from neighbouring subject areas. If you have any questions, please contact us at futuretro@tha.de. Contributions in German or English can be submitted as a short summary in PDF format.
